February 2018
Sir JJ college of Architecture organized a series of lectures with their students on accessibility and inclusion every Friday which was alongside a month long exhibition on accessible architecture. Our Founder Director Nidhi Goyal was invited for the closing session on disability and inclusive architecture and spaces.
Often persons with disabilities are excluded from spaces due to minor reasons like the absence of a ramp or even an even paved path.
It becomes harder for them to navigate spaces. Nidhi emphasized on the importance of creating designs which are not just aesthetic but also disability friendly. She further brought in the linkages between, access and accessibility, accessibility, gender and safety.
