Raintree Foundation, an organisation working on disability rights held a consultation to bring together key persons working within the disability sector to discuss strategies, key issues and solutions. A total of 15 people representing various organisations working on disability attended the conference. Organisations like Adapt, Ummeed, Newzhook amongst many others were present.
The discussion facilitated by Raintree touched upon the topics of recreation, mental health and rural integration.
Conversations on current research and methods to tackle the current gaps in infrastructure were also deliberated upon. Rising Flame’s key inputs were around disability and gender and understanding the gendered dimensions of the issues that persons with disabilities face.
