On the 17th of July, the SBI Foundation, Entrepreneurship Cell of the Tata Institute of Social Sciences along with Alsisar Impact hosted a webinar titled ‘Women Entrepreneurs making a Difference’. The panellists included Manjula Kalyanasundaram, MD SBI Foundation, Neelam Pandita, AVP Alsisar Impact, Akriti Gupta, CEO Canfem, Seema Sayyed, Aastha Parivar, Neha Juneja, CEO Greenway Gramin, Sahibjeet Kaur, Founder, Artistry and Nidhi Goyal, founder and executive director of Rising Flame. The webinar sought to celebrate the journeys of women entrepreneurs from different walks of life. Nidhi Goyal brought it in the perspective of intersectionality especially that of being a woman with a disability. She spoke about the power structures of patriarchy and ableism and how this combination hinders the access of women with disabilities to avenues such as education, employment and livelihoods.
