The Red Door and Bhor Foundation together organized the event, “Merchants of Madness” which brought out various facets of the new socio-cultural, cosmopolitan definition of mental health afflicted and sampled in various spaces of modern society where they might actually be better enabled.

Founder Director Nidhi Goyal presented a podcast “Coffee and chit chat with Nidhi”. In this intimate and personal piece Nidhi spoke about her journey with blindness and being labelled “mad” quite casually for choices that she made as a woman and particularly as a disabled woman.

She interwove the narratives of women with disabilities that she has worked with and how the label mad for women with intellectual and psychosocial disabilities has a reductionist impact on their identity and cause harm at various stages of life.
