On 7 September 2026, our Founder and Executive Director Nidhi Goyal was invited to conduct a session on ‘Fellowships Across Cohorts’ as part of the Queer India Fellowship 2026, organised by Godrej DEI Labs and Godrej Foundation in Mumbai.
Nidhi was joined by Akshay Saxena, Co-CEO, Avanti Fellows, and Dr Ruha Shadab, Founder, Led By Foundation.
Drawing from Rising Flame’s successful I Can Lead fellowship, Nidhi shared how investing in the potential of women and gender diverse persons with disabilities can create pathways to leadership and meaningful change. The session also explored why women and gender-diverse persons with disabilities need opportunities to enter and shape spaces of leadership, so that institutions can move beyond inclusion as an intervention and make diversity and inclusion a starting point. The session was attended by 20 attendees.
