On the 31st of July, 2020, Centre for Public Law at the Indian Law Society's Law College, Pune organised a webinar on Collaborative Activism in the Sphere of Gender Equality : Some Reflections on the Vishaka Mechanism. Founder and executive director Nidhi Goyal was invited to be a panelist alongside Honorable Chief Justice Ms. Gita Mittal, Senior Counsel, Supreme Court of India, Ms. Meenakshi Arora, and Advocate and Women’s Rights Activist, Ms. Vrinda Grover. The session was moderated by Dr. Devika Singh. The panel centred around the path breaking legislation and how to see the jurisprudence around it. The panellists also highlighted the crucial role the women’s movement has played in progressive legislations being passed including rape laws, rights of tribal laws, environment legislations etc. Nidhi Goyal spoke about the inclusion of issues of women with disabilities in legislation and the implementation considering reasonable accommodation and access needs. She also brought up issues of social stigma and attitudnal barriers amongst work place committees, justice stakeholders,  which in turn creates major barriers to accessing justice by women with disabilities.
