Training on Gender and Disability by KC College

Our Founder and Executive Director, Nidhi Goyal, conducted a virtual training on gender and disability for the Certificate Course in Gender Studies at KC College, Mumbai on August 2, 2025. The session was attended by 45 students enrolled in the course. Nidhi explored the intersectional realities of gender and disability. She highlighted the many different forms of marginalisation faced by disabled women and gender-marginalised persons. She examined the issues of discrimination and violence, and provided a detailed overview of sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), as well as sexual and gender-based violence (GBV). The session also addressed the gaps in data, and access to services that further add to these challenges. Through an interactive approach, the training was highly engaging, informative, and enriching, and was appreciated by all participants.
