RISE Scholarship

RISE Scholarship

Accessing higher education remains a significant challenge for women with disabilities, who face systemic, structural, and social barriers that hinder their academic and professional aspirations. Financial constraints, lack of accessible transportation, and digital inaccessibility in application processes are just some of the obstacles they encounter. Additionally, the higher costs of education, coupled with the gendered impact of these challenges, result in fewer women with disabilities enrolling in higher education institutions.

At Rising Flame, we recognise the urgent need to level the playing field and create an inclusive educational ecosystem where women with disabilities can thrive. To bridge this gap, we launched the RISE Scholarship, a pioneering initiative aimed at supporting women with disabilities in higher education. This scholarship provides them with the financial resources, accessibility support, and opportunities they need to achieve their academic dreams and contribute meaningfully to society.
