FHI 360 organised a GenderPlus Summit ‘Power and Partnerships: Centering Equity in Global Development and Humanitarian Programs’ 2022 online where Nidhi Goyal, Founder and Executive Director took part in a panel discussion on 7 June 2022, titled ‘Unpacking Inequitable Partnerships in the era of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility, Decolonization and Localization’.

Other speakers in the panel included Mustafa Kudrati (CEO, Plan International USA), Tarek Zeidan (Executive Director, Helem, Lebanon) and C.D. Glin (Global Head of Philanthrophy, PepsiCo. Inc. & VP, PepsiCo Foundation, US) and was moderated by Diana Preito, Director at the Office of Gender Equality & Women’s Empowerment, USAID.

Nidhi highlighted the importance of intersectionality with a critical question: “In cases of emergencies and crises, who gets strategically deprioritised?” and talked about the dangers of inclusion as a checklist versus having diverse people at the table actually set the agenda on the collective drawing board.

Interpretation was available in American Sign Language, International Sign Language, Spoken Spanish and Spoken French.
