DCDD: Disability inclusion and development, 2020

To celebrate 20 years of the Dutch Coalition for Disability and Development, a panel was organised to understand practices of inclusion and to jointly advocate for a more inclusive development sector. The panel took place on November 25, 2020 with some fantastic speakers, including our Founder and Executive Director, Nidhi Goyal.  The other speakers were:  – Sigrid Kaag, Dutch Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation, Charlotte McClain-Nhlapo (USA), Global Disability Advisor for the World Bank Group, Huib Cornielje, founder of DCDD and director of Enablement, Johan Wesemann, former DCDD chair, global advisor on disability & deaf inclusion, Paul van Trigt, historian and postdoc researcher at Leiden University and Yetnebersh Nigussie, Ethiopian human rights lawyer and Senior Manager of the Global Action on Disability Network. 

The panellists and speakers highlighted the important milestones in accessibility and spoke about creating opportunities to bring disability inclusion to the next level by 2030.
