Applications for the 3rd edition of Rise Scholarships are open!
With a financial award of INR 1.25 lakhs, the Rise Scholarship aims to provide equal access to learning and growth for women with disabilities pursuing higher education.
The scholarship can be used for tuition fees, accessible study materials, assistive devices or technology, interpreter services, and other reasonable accommodations to enable full participation in their academic pursuits.
This year, we will be supporting 3o women scholars with disabilities.
Minimum Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must:
- Be women with disabilities pursuing undergraduate and professional degrees (such as B.A, B.Ed, B.Com, MBBS, LLB) or postgraduate studies (such as MD, M.Ed, M.Tech, MBA, M.A, M.Phil, LLM, M.Sc, Ph.D., or equivalent diplomas/degrees).
- Be 18 years of age or above at the time of application.
- Be enrolled in (studying in) a registered institution located in any one of the following locations: Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka, Kochi, Hyderabad, or Kolkata.
- Have an annual family income that should not exceed INR 8,00,000/-
- Have at least one academic year remaining in their course at the time of receiving the scholarship.
- Be a resident of India.
- Be passionate about achieving their academic and professional dreams.
