Our Founder and Executive Director, Nidhi Goyal, participated in the event “Reaffirming: Centering Disability Justice in Feminist Movements”, organised as part of the 10th anniversary celebrations of CREA’s Disability, Sexuality and Rights Online Initiative (DSROI). Held on 1 March 2024, the event brought together 120 activists, advocates, and movement leaders to reflect on the future of disability justice and feminist organising.
Nidhi was joined by Shamim Salim and Janet Price, fellow disabled feminist activists, for a panel discussion titled “10 Wishes for the Next 10 Years of Disability, Sexuality and Rights Organising.” The conversation explored aspirations for building more inclusive, intersectional, and accessible movements, while reflecting on the progress and challenges within disability and feminist advocacy. The panel offered a space for collective reflection, imagination, and renewed commitment to advancing disability justice in the years ahead.
