CREA organised a 2-day residential training titled “Integrating Gender, Sexuality, and Rights Perspectives in the Urban Sanitation Ecosystem” in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. 22 participants from partners of the NFSSM Alliance Odisha Chapter attended this training to strengthen their understanding of rights-based and inclusive approaches within the urban sanitation ecosystem.
As part of the training, our Founder and Executive Director, Nidhi Goyal, facilitated a session on “Unpacking Disability Justice and Making Sanitation Services Inclusive” on the second day, 19th October, 2023. The session highlighted the importance of embedding disability inclusion within sanitation planning, implementation, and service delivery. This training provided a valuable platform for learning, reflection, and cross-sector dialogue on inclusive urban sanitation.
